Generational change in Kamax Museros

The Grupo KAMAX, leading international technology provider in the production of high-strength fasteners for the automotive industry, has presented to the new management team of its Museros plant, made up of José García as COO and Pedro Sáez as CFO, who will assume joint management from next October 1, taking over the generation from Carlos Mena and Manfred Weidner.

Carlos Mena has been part of KAMAX for 30 years, starting in the Finance department in 1992 and as CFO he established the KAMAX sales office in India, led the launch project of the Mexico plant in 2019, as well as such as the negotiations for the recent acquisition of the Valencian coating company GALOL, located in L’Ollería. He is also the first vice president of FEMEVAL.

Manfred Weidner has been the COO of KAMAX Museros for the past 16 years. He started in 1996 as Head of Continuous Improvement and took part in projects at other KAMAX Group plants, before assuming management of the operations area of the Valencian plant in 2006.

At the management handover ceremony, which was attended by the company’s global CEO Jörg Steins and the HR Vice President, Chrisoula Angelidou, Manfred Weidner and Carlos Mena were thanked for their commitment and dedication throughout their professional career within the KAMAX Group, to which they will continue to be linked in other types of projects.

The witness, therefore, is collected by José García, who has been part of KAMAX since 2012. He started as a Trainee, and has worked in different plants (Homberg in Germany, Lapeer in the USA, Turnov in the Czech Republic, Museros in Spain…) where he has assumed different roles in recent years: Logistics Director, Production Director, Director Plant Manager at Alsfeld & Homberg and Global Vice President of OPEX (Operational Excellence). For his part, Pedro Sáez began his career at KAMAX Museros in September 2021 as Financial & Controlling Director, after extensive experience in the financial area since 2005 and in the automotive sector since 2010. Prior to joining KAMAX, he was CFO at Magna Seating Spain for over seven years and at Johnson Controls for another four.

KAMAX Museros, which this year celebrates its 70th anniversary, is experiencing an exciting moment, ensuring with this generational replacement the future of the plant that employs 250 people and its consolidation within the sector.
